Anke beat Maria-Emilia Salerni of Argentina 6-2 6-4 in the first round of the US Open...and she beat Sarah Taylor 7-6 6-4 in the second round...and she lost to Elena Dementieva in the third round 3-6 5-7.

Anke is in the draw for the tournament in New Haven and she will play Magui Serna of Spain in the first round...and she beat her 6-2 6-2, second round opponent: Jennifer Capriati and she lost 6-0 3-6 2-6...

Anke is in the draw for the Canadian Open and will play Barbara Rittner of Germany in the first round...and she won 2-6 6-3 6-3, in the next round she will face Evie Dominikovic of Australia...and she beat her 7-6 6-1, she will face Amelie Mauresmo of France in the next round...and she beat her 6-3 6-3...Anke played Jennifer Hopkins in the quarter-final and won the match 7-6 6-3..she played Capriati and lsot 3-6 6-3 3-6...

Anke has pulled out of Los Angeles with a left foot injury...

Anke has been included in the Fed Cup team for the tie against Argentina.  The tie starts on 21st July and she won her match against Salerni 4-6 6-2 6-1 and and then she lost to Paola Suarez 6-4 3-6 10-12, Germany lost the tie.
